If you’re a snacker, you’re going to want to hear about these Trader Joe’s Bamba Snacks. Wondering what the heck Bamba Snacks are? The hazelnut version takes the original Bambas to a different level and you should definitely read on to find out why we’re talking about them here.
What are Trader Joe’s Bamba Snacks?
In the U.S., Bamba is an uncommon snack and if you’re unfamiliar with it, let me ‘splain.
Bamba is made of only corn grits, peanut paste, palm oil, and salt. The grits are pressurized into an oblong snake shape, cut into small pieces, air baked, and then dusted with peanut coating.
Trader Joe’s has transformed their Bamba Peanut Snacks into a glorious new snack. They’ve filled the peanut Bamba with hazelnut crème filling. That’s NUTELLA we’re talking about here!!
Oh heck yes!!! If you’re a Nutella fan in any form, you’re going to want to keep reading!
Texture-wise, Bamba are light, crispy, and airy. They’re kind of a like a lighter version of the puffed Cheetos snacks.
Or those little puffs that babies and young toddlers go nuts over. If you’re a parents, you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about!
And these hazelnut Bamba are filled like Combos snacks are – right through the center of a tube-shaped snack – so they feel like a mix of all different familiar textures, shapes, and flavors smashed into one little snack.
Where In the Store?
You can find all of the Bambas snacks in the chips aisle of Trader Joe’s nestled among the other crunchy snacks.
How to Serve Bamba Snacks
Bamba are one of those snacks that might not make it home from Trader Joe’s after you open a bag for the ride. Trust me here!
Mariah and I busted open a bag during our last visit in Maine and the 2 of us and Riley polished off a bag during our drive home. They’re completely addictive and don’t need anything fancy to serve them in.
And that makes them all the more dangerous! Just crack the bag open and start popping them!
I’m pretty particular about my snacks and generally require them to be, at the very least, crunchy. I’m a salty snacker most of the time but these sweet hazelnut crème Bamba are the best of both worlds!
They’re crunchy and sweet…and utterly perfect texture- and flavor-wise. I do love them so!!
My only gripe about them is that I wish there was more crème filling in them. The filling is delicious but it’s a little sparse which is kind of a bummer.
Buy It Again?
These Bamba Snacks with Hazelnut Crème Filling have definitely been making a regular appearance in my cart this fall since they hit the shelves.
So yes, I’ll be buying these awesome little snacks on the regular as long as they stick around at TJ’s. And I think you NEED to get your hands on them too!
