Stick around to check out our exclusive cart rating and much awaited review on this seasonal snack!
What are Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spiced Teeny Tiny Pretzels?
These teeny tiny pumpkin spiced pretzels are the cutest little things. That’s exactly what I said when I ripped opened the bag and peeked inside for the first time! I knew they were tiny, but these are just adorable.
The teeny pretzels are covered in a yogurt flavored coating and have crushed pumpkin spiced pumpkin seeds nestled on top.
The pretzels themselves are about the size of a nickel, and are the perfect size for snacking!
The yogurt coating envelops the whole pretzel, it’s not just drizzled on top which is nice. The crushed pumpkin spiced pumpkin seeds however were a bit of a let down. From the picture on the front, it looks as if there should be pretty big chunks (for the size of the pretzel) on top of each one. It was more of a dusting rather than chunks of crushed pumpkin seeds. Bummer.
Where In the Store?
Trader Joe’s is notorious (in a good way) for having items in more than one spot throughout the store. I first found these Pumpkin Spiced pretzels on an end cap where they had other seasonal items like; Pumpkin Maple Bacon Stuffies Dog Treats, Caramel Sea Salt Baking Chips (a review on those to come soon!), Pumpkin Spread and Sunflower Oil.
The second place I encountered this bright orange bag of pretzels was in the candy/snack aisle! They were nestled in between the Dark Chocolate Covered Mini Pretzels and the Crispy Peanut Butter filled Milk Chocolate Peanuts!
How to Serve Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spiced Teeny Tiny Pretzels
This is really an open ended question because there’s no right or wrong way to serve these pretzels, or any pretzel for that matter.
I’m usually pretty simple with my snacking. I tore open the bag, peeked inside and shoved two in my mouth without question. I’m all about trying new things with no fear and hesitation LOL. As soon as I tried the first two little pretzels, I knew I needed a tiny glass of milk, so off to the fridge I ventured.
Because of their size, I would recommend adding these to your favorite trail mix. They would go so perfect with the Maple & Sea Salt Kettlecorn, and maybe a handful of salted peanuts and M&M’s mixed in!
They would be perfect to take on the go, or to keep in your car for a quick snack because they have a resealable feature at the top of the bag.
You might even want to be daring and add these teeny tiny pretzels to brownies, or the Pumpkin Chocolate Chunk Oatmeal Cookie Mix that Trader Joe’s has for the season. Make like an “everything but the kitchen sink” cookie! Sounds fun and totally delicious.
Also, because it’s starting to get a little chilly here on the East Coast, you can never go wrong with your favorite piping cup of tea or a hot cup of coffee paired with these little pumpkin spiced pretzels for a delish midday pick me up.
I really enjoyed trying these pretzels. When it comes time for Fall, and everything pumpkin slaps you in the face, a part of me inside cringes because who wants to be labeled “that basic pumpkin spice b*&^%?” But hey, someone has to do it for the fans, and I’m here to do just that. DO IT FOR THE FANS!!
The pretzels were full of pumpkin spice flavor, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, cloves…you know all the usual culprits.
The yogurt coating around the teeny pretzels was just right. Im glad the pretzels were fully dunked in the coating rather than it just being drizzled on. The yogurt coating added a nice sweetness to the pretzels to offset all the pumpkin spice flavors.
The only disappointing part of the pumpkin pretzels was the so called “crushed pumpkin spiced pumpkin seeds” that were supposed to be on the outside. I think I came across maybe 10 pretzels in the whole bag of probably close to 60 pieces with any distinguishable remnants of pumpkin seeds on them. So, that was a bit disappointing.
Honestly, even though the pumpkin seeds were basically non-existent the overall flavor of each pretzel was pretty spot on. The flavor of the yogurt coating with all of the essential “pumpkin pie spices” and the saltiness of the actual pretzel underneath was wonderful.
Buy It Again?
Because this is a seasonal item, I can’t say for sure if I will buy these again this year. When they end up on the shelves again next year (which I hope they will), I will definitely buy another bag.
The only reason I gave this a 4 out of 5 carts is because the picture on the front of the package shows that they’re covered in the crushed pumpkin spiced pumpkin seeds. Well, they definitely were not as you can see from some of my pictures. That was the only disappointing part.
All in all, these were pretty delicious and a fun snack to try! Have you given these Pumpkin Spiced Teeny Tiny Pretzels from Trader Joe’s a try yet? Tell us your review in the comment section below!
